Selected Google reviews on your website

The first planned feature lets an authorized Google Business Profile owner or manager connect the approved business location to a client website. Before connecting, we will ask for affirmative permission to display the specified review fields publicly on the named website and for Sam McKinney to view the connected reviews when providing authorized support.

For Clog Un-Boggler, the planned website feed will show selected four- and five-star written reviews with original reviewer names, comments and review dates. These will be labelled as selected Google reviews. Visitors will have links to read reviews on Google and an unrestricted write-a-review link, regardless of the rating they intend to leave.

What the Google permission allows

Google requires the business.manage permission for its review retrieval API. That permission allows broader Business Profile management actions, but this initial feature will use it only for GET requests to read account and location identity for selecting the approved business, then reviews for that location. It will not change business information or post replies. It will not request Gmail, Google Drive or Google Analytics access.

Your connection and your choice

Before activation, we will verify disconnection, stored-data deletion and Google revocation handling. Disconnecting will stop the website feed and remove its active token and review cache. Google revocation can also affect other MCV Clients connections authorized by the same Google account. Oleera uses a separate project.

If Google revocation fails, you will need to remove MCV Clients in your Google Account's third-party connections settings. Public reviews will remain on Google. The Google data privacy notice explains cache timing, provider copies and backups.
